Yes, there were a few surprises under the tree for me! First, there were the two metal sign magnets that Hubby gave me. One says, "I like nonsense. And a lovely Christmas it looks to be, too. We had our traditional Christmas Eve get-together with my Bro and his family. Since my poor, overworked SIL had to work until noon, we decided to have it – and Boy #2’s 11th birthday – at our house. Yummy, yummy, yummy! Been making fudge pretty much all week. Delicious stuff, not healthy for me, but we’re nearly swimming in it. Plain, walnut, pecan and mint. Made it for the teachers and neighbors. Made it for Hubby’s all week work party (he didn’t bring any of the fudge back — for which I was happy, happy!!). I’m beginning to think it’s dangerous to walk to the school to pick up Boy #2. Yesterday, on the way home, I stepped wrong somehow, and injured my ankle. I am psyched! I made it past 10K words on my NaNoWriMo novel today. Finally, the stories of the characters in my head are being told! I did over 3K words just today! Well, this has been a strange Halloween. The boys went out trick-or-treating for the first time; they were out for a half-hour because that’s all that Hubby could stand.
