The White Winds 7 is ready.

The White Winds 7 is ready.

I’m just waiting for Hobbeth to get online to beta it. There shouldn’t be much to tweak, I hope. I went back and read an earlier chapter and caught two spelling errors that I hadn’t seen before and used the export/edit function to correct them. Chapter six is well-started at IR:TNP; but we’ve got one writer on vacation, one just home from surgery, one with a blown up computer, and one moving to a new house. Three of these are…

Masquerade 22 is up!

Masquerade 22 is up!

Still haven’t buried poor Peter, though. And I’ve already written more words for this fic than for any other! Need to get started on chapter 23, where we WILL bury poor Peter Riordan, and maybe even have a rescue. Also need to get moving on The White Winds chapter 7, which has had a great start. More research is needed on cross-country running. Sigh.   Started the new chapter at IR:TNP. Got to give Janet a push on it before…

Blech.

Blech.

My stomach has been upset for a while now and I’m not quite sure why. It could be the aspirin I’ve been taking for my feet, I suppose. They have been giving me a lot of trouble as there has been weather brewing that hadn’t come through until this afternoon, when we had a humdinger of a thunderstorm cell pass by. It was upset quite a bit last night and between it and my feet, I didn’t get to sleep…

Chapter 6 of The White Winds is up!

Chapter 6 of The White Winds is up!

Wow!   This chapter was very interesting! The boys had been clamoring for a rescue and it took me until last night to figure out that it was the movie-verse boys who were doing it! So today I did some research and came up with a rescue and boy, did it flow! Just came out, word after word! I struggled through the first parts of the chapter and then… boom! It was finished!   Now back to Masquerade.  And I’m sorry, Becks….

Masquerade 21 is up!

Masquerade 21 is up!

It seemed to take forever, this chapter. But finally it’s up. Not action packed, but lots of little details filled in. My goal is to get poor Peter buried next chapter.   I’ve been asked when the next chapter of The White Winds was coming. It’s coming soon. I just have to get a good rescue going here. And then think of one for Masquerade because there has to be one soon. My brain has got to get moving on…

Two new pictures from C.!

Two new pictures from C.!

Pictures of The Honorable Addison Kennicot, Senator to the World Congress representing Great Britain (and Lady Penelope’s old school chum) and of Renée Baptiste, IR Agent 38 are up in the Masquerade album. I’ve also added pictures of the other three cats to the Serendipity album as well. And I finally figured out how to edit the captions! It’s about time!   Finished the grocery shopping, or so I hope. Mega bucks spent, but all of it needed. I keep…

Peanut spread and sugar free grape jam taste weird together

Peanut spread and sugar free grape jam taste weird together

I came up with this title after I made my lunch. They really do taste strange together. And it’s definitely the jam. Strawberry or blackberry taste better than grape.   Hubby’s supposed to have an 8-hour day, and when he gets home, I’ll finish the grocery shopping that I started yesterday. Spend $200 and didn’t get a whole lot to eat. But that will change when I hit Aldi’s today. I’ll drop the menfolk off at the barber’s, or they…

Another gorgeous pic by C.

Another gorgeous pic by C.

C. sent me a pic today of Brigitte Andersen, known as Agent 87 in my fic, Masquerade. It’s gorgeous! Definitely a girl for John Tracy. She said she’d do one of each of the agents in the story and I can hardly wait to see how the others turn out!   Finished off the toffee today, and will return the container with a post-it note of thanks. Hubby thinks that if I write more than that, she’ll feel obligated to make…

Woo Hoo! Goal met!

Woo Hoo! Goal met!

Went to see my GP, Dr. T.E., today about the toe. They x-rayed it and she said it looked good and I could stop buddy taping it. But of more importance was what the scale said! A loss of another 4 lbs since I was there two weeks ago! Woo Hoo! That’s a total of 16 since my visit with the diabetes management people back in April and 24 since my diagnosis in March! It is so good to reach…

I’ve had my toffee for the day, that’s for sure!

I’ve had my toffee for the day, that’s for sure!

Without even trying this has been a high carb day. Breakfast was fine; I had the usual stuff. But I did have some of that delicious toffee around lunchtime, and had leftover ravioli (high carbs) for lunch itself. Then for supper, six pieces of French toast with sugar-free syrup on it. The FT was made with my low-carb bread, yeah, but add a glass of milk in there and I had some pretty hefty carbohydrates! Shouldn’t have pigged out like…
