Masquerade 29 is live!

Masquerade 29 is live!

And I’m expecting large clumps of hair torn out and scathing mail and reviews from the Virgil fangirls! Woo Hoo!   Over 5000 hits on the story and getting up to 100 reviews. And nearing the end of the story, too. I think this next chapter will be the beginning of the climax…   Jittery today; hormones I’m guessing since it is that time. Had some Montezuma’s revenge earlier but the little green pills seem to have helped. Now, on to…

More Masquerade coming

More Masquerade coming

Chapter 27 went up early on the 5th and chapter 28 may go up this morning. The story keeps rolling along, and getting longer… like some overgrown dragon’s tail or something. Can’t wait to get to the climax. But first I have to let Jeff unload on Lou… and maybe Virgil will talk to Penelope. Got to bring in the rest of the crew as well. Perhaps Gordon can show off the new uniform… now that’s an idea!   Update:…

Woo Hoo! 7000 hits!

Woo Hoo! 7000 hits!

Just checked my story stats at ff.net and Serendipity has 7000 hits! Woo Hoo! I’m sure that’s a whole lot less than some stories have had but I am very excited! The White Winds has over 3500 so far! It’s catching up to Masquerade which has well over 4000 (can’t remember the exact number).   Working hard on Chapter 27, but I don’t know that it’s doing as well as I’d like. Maybe because there will be a scene between…

Chapter 26 of Masquerade has hit the stands.

Chapter 26 of Masquerade has hit the stands.

This one went fast! Mostly dialogue between Scott/Parker and new OC, Mo (don’t know if she’s an agent, yet. Haven’t decided). Chat between Kenny and Parker. Chat between Grandma and Maru Soo. Chat between Penny and Addison. Then progress on the Franks front. Now I have act 27, scene 1 done. One of these days I’m going to chapter my things that way, in acts and scenes. Maybe Overtures would lend itself toward it.   Amy P. came on and…

Whew! When my muse moves, she really moves!

Whew! When my muse moves, she really moves!

Was talking with TawnyAngel today and she asked an interesting question. She’s been watching the Thunderbirds episodes that BBC2 has been running as part of the 40th anniversary celebration, and she wondered how the Hood knew that International Rescue existed before Trapped In The Sky. I thought it was a good question, so I wrote a one-shot, under 1000 words, I think (1200 or so after I added my disclaimer and such) to answer the question. It’s posted at ff.net and…

Eighteen years and counting.

Eighteen years and counting.

Yep, anniversary day! Commemorating the day the hubby and I bound our lives together. I expect him home in about 20 minutes, then we’re going out for dinner, leaving the boys in the hands of their sister… and cousin. The Niece is here for the next couple of days. She woke me up this morning with her loud voice… I could have slept some more, y’know. Had a little convo with my bro; they are down to no cats and two…

Got Masquerade 24 up last night

Got Masquerade 24 up last night

Took a while and I had to rearrange the smaller bits some, but there’s a rescue in there and that took a while to flesh out. Got a great idea for Lou, too, and have to find a place to put it. It may end up in Masquerade in the next chapter or two, we’ll see. The White Winds will have to wait as I really feel on a roll with Masquerade and want to strike while the iron is…

Masquerade chapter 23 is up

Masquerade chapter 23 is up

Finally got it done. I actually was going to add a bit of rescue to the end of it, but I decided that it would work better in the beginning of the next chapter.   I guess I should work on The White Winds next. I already have 50 reviews on it and it’s only 7 chapters so far. Most of the reviews are of the “great chapter, update soon” variety, but a few are of the more thoughtful type…

I AM PUMPED!

I AM PUMPED!

Went to the diabetic management follow-up seminar today and took the kids. They behaved themselves very well and even bragged on me to the others in the group when I went out to get my weight and waist measured and, most importantly, my hemoglobin A1C test. This is the test that measures your blood glucose levels over a three-month period and is very important in the management of diabetes.   According to their scales, I lost 13.8 lbs. My goal was…

The day of reckoning has arrived….

The day of reckoning has arrived….

Later today, Tuesday, July 26, I will go for my second visit with the diabetes management team. They’re going to do a hemoglobin A1C test and we’ll see how far we got with my goals. Of course, for supper we went to IHOP and I had the Harvest Grain and Nut pancakes….  I do expect to have reached my goal as far as weight loss is concerned. But I’ve still got a ways to go when it comes to things…
