Someone (Willow) decided I shouldn’t write on my new NaNoWriMo novel tonight. I was originally going to do a series of short stories, one for each day, but I’m already behind word count-wise. Willow is not helping.

You’d think that, in this time of shelter-in-place orders, I’d be writing up a storm, editing my work, finishing my works-in-progress. You’d be wrong. I just realize that the NaNoWriMo Word Count Widget no longer exists! Because, if it did, it would tell you that I reached the goal of 50K! Woo hoo! But after writing pretty much all day, I’m closer to catching up. At the end of the day, I’ve written 5K. Still need to write more and, frankly, a lot of what I’m writing now will be cut later. The perils of November.
I’m wearing these “recovery gloves” (seriously, that’s what the manufacturer calls them) because my fingers and knuckles are screaming for relief. I have no idea who he is or what year this was taken. His picture showed up on my Twitter feed today as a writing prompt.
