There’s weather coming….

There’s weather coming….

and I wish it would get here and go! I actually made it to church this morning, mostly because the service was later and we were having dinner on the grounds afterwards. But I think I buddy taped my toe a little too tight and between that and the neuropathy flaring up because of the weather, I was pretty miserable by the time the meal was over. So Hubby took me home and went back to see the special play…

It’s a quiet afternoon

It’s a quiet afternoon

The boys are gone to Bible club and the girl and I are just sitting around. She’s reading and I’m writing. The White Winds chapter 5 is coming along nicely; I’m probably 2/3 done with it. I’m beginning to get ideas for a sequel to Turnabout, which I’m sure C will love. A scene comes to mind where Christa is about to give birth and they’re trying to think of names for the baby. It will be a hoot, no matter what…

It’s up!

It’s up!

Chapter 19 of Masquerade is now up! And I got a good night’s sleep without any hassle from my muse. I’ve started chapter 20, but I really need to go back and work on The White Winds, too. Tika’s a bit skittish right now. There are bottle rockets going off down the street and those are upsetting, to say the least. I’m sure the other cats will be antsy for the next few days, too. The Hubby has taken the kids to…

Woo Hoo! Chapter 19 is finis!

Woo Hoo! Chapter 19 is finis!

All except for the edit, which will probably happen tomorrow. While I’m waiting for Hobbeth to come online, I’ll work on The White Winds. Maybe even get a start on Masquerade ch. 20, who knows?   C sent me two cool pictures, including one of Jeff. And she’s going to do some more Masquerade scenes! Life is good!   Back later, hopefully after I get some decent sleep!

and a break from writing fiction. Masquerade 19 is coming along nicely. What I should do is write up some of the scenes I got in my head last night, the ones that kept me awake until five (this despite my antidepressant and Lortabs).  I am very much afraid that this particular story is going to go longer than my usual 23 chapters. Much longer.   The toe isn’t giving me the jips right now, for which I’m grateful. The…

It’s official…

It’s official…

My toe is broken. The doctor didn’t even bother to x-ray it; he said he could feel the “dimple” in the bone where the break was! Ewww! I’ve got a scrip for pain meds and I’ll go back in two weeks for an x-ray to be sure it’s healing. Good news from the visit though; according to their scales, I’ve lost twelve pounds! My goal is 15 before I see the diabetes management team in July, so I’m well on the…

Finally! The log jam is gone!

Finally! The log jam is gone!

I have had a deuce of a time starting Masquerade chapter 19. I started with one bit, then another, but finally changed the setting of the second bit, and that made all the difference. Now things are moving.  I hope I can keep up the momentum.   The White Winds chapter 5 has had a good start, and I’ve got a nice twist planned. I’ve also done several posts for the new Yahoo incarnation of the Thunderbar, and for IR:TNP. I’ve…

I seem to have broken a toe

I seem to have broken a toe

Noticed yesterday that my most troublesome toe (second toe, right foot) is swollen and has a nasty bruise. I’m sure I accidently kicked one of the pesky bed supports and that now the toe is broken. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before and there’s not much they can do about it. This morning I noticed that the bruising is spreading down into the foot on either side of the toe. So I’ve buddy-taped the thing and I’m wearing my new…

So much for a restful night

So much for a restful night

Woke up around 2:45 and could not get back to sleep. I really should have gotten up and written up the snatch of Jeff/Lou interaction that I had buzzing in my head, but… I didn’t. I  just lay there feeling more and more amorous until finally I woke the hubby around 4:30. Not that we did anything… he was too pooped. I’ve got to let him get a good nap this afternoon, probably during the IR:TNP brainstorming session. And when he…

I shouldn’t be up this late

I shouldn’t be up this late

Not if I want to go to church tomorrow, as I should. I managed to type out that little starter scene for The White Winds, chapter 5. Hobbeth liked it and gave me the idea for making it necessary. I fiddled with my livejournal, giving it a fresh look and adding a couple of entries. Got out “may we please use your fic” requests for Classic Thunderbirds Showcase, but I still need an email address for Rathead. Hopefully Rain can…
