Finally got another chapter done!

Finally got another chapter done!

Chapter 20 of The White Winds went up today. Not a long one by any means, but it’s there. And I feel like I should work and finish this story up. Maybe get a chapter or two of Overtures done along the way, but focus on one story to complete it. Like I did with Masquerade. I had a bit of an epiphany on the ending of the Masquerade story arc, but I don’t know if it will work. Hopefully I’ll…

I am frustrated, angry, and hurt….

I am frustrated, angry, and hurt….

I don’t know how to say this. The other day as I accessed Thunderbirds World through my bookmark, I noticed a “Hmm. We can’t find that page” notice from MSN Groups. I emailed MSN Groups tech support twice to find out what was the problem. I finally got a response today. This is part of it: **Please be informed that the said Group, “ThunderbirdsWorld,” is no longer available. I am sorry to hear about this though I cannot determine more…

Haven’t felt this in a while

Haven’t felt this in a while

Right now my feet are doing the “neuropathy dance” for the first time in, well, months. I figure it’s either a new front coming through as it’s supposed to rain tomorrow, or it’s hormones, or it’s both. I doubt it’s my blood glucose because it’s been pretty good over the past couple of days. Of course, the real test will be on Monday, when I see Dr. E. for my hemoglobin A1C test. A little later I’ll have my hubby rub my…

An interesting ten days

An interesting ten days

Well, the Hubby is getting better, if you don’t count his cold. Two of the cats, Tika and Cotton, have been to see the vet (finally!) and now have been dewormed and given shots for their itchy skin (and flea treatment, as well). Boy #2 has been busy. He won his second basketball game 16-10 and was very happy. He also got a special t-shirt for scoring Advanced on the state achievement test last spring (one of five in his school to…

An unusual and quiet day

An unusual and quiet day

The Hubby broke a tooth some time ago, and late last week, another piece broke off, making it difficult for him to talk. The remaining sharp edge bothered his tongue and the inside of his cheek. So yesterday I tracked down a dentist who was taking new patients (ended up being an out-of-insurance-plan doctor as we only have three on our list right now, one of whom does only braces, the second of whom is not taking new patients, and the…

Block is gone, I hope

Block is gone, I hope

Updated The White Winds in the wee hours of the morning this morning. I now have ideas on where and how to go on with it. Same for Overtures. However, there’s only a week left to get my Valentine’s challenge fic done. So that’s my next task. It’s going to be a Kyrano fic, and I have a title. Now to write it. The kids have a four day weekend, the Hubby has a two day weekend (MLK holiday). Basketball starts…

Whoo Hoo!

Whoo Hoo!

I just got my order from FABGearUSA! The 40th anniversary Thunderbirds soundtrack, and a set of 8 movie pencils. I’ve sharpened the pink one (man, that eraser is day-glo pink!) and put it in my pencil cup! Guess what I’ll be listening to on the way to pick up the kiddies? No ABBA for us this afternoon.   Overtures 15 is almost ready… I’m not sure where to break the introduction of Lou to Penelope, but Lou is feeling rather…

My resolutions

My resolutions

Well, it’s that time of year, friends. Time to make our New Year’s resolutions. Here are mine:   1. Stick to my diet more closely. 2. Get back on track with FlyLady. 3. Cook more so Hubby doesn’t have to. 4. Finish my current stories… and the story arc. 5. Exercise. 6. Thought of this one this morning: Complete NaNoWriMo in November.   I think that’s it for now. Let’s see how well I do by next December.   Happy…

New story is posted at ff.net

New story is posted at ff.net

I’ve posted the new story, Grandpa’s Hat, at ff.net. Some of the people who read it in my livejournal complained that they couldn’t make any comment, so now they can leave a review if they so desire.   As for the writer’s block, I’ve got to do some research on Thailand (C. suggested that as a venue) and on building implosions. I think I have the rescue I need. Once I have the research in hand, I can go back…

Well, maybe I’ve cured my writer’s block

Well, maybe I’ve cured my writer’s block

I worked most of the day yesterday on making a fic out of a plot bunny I picked up at LiveJournal’s fanficrants, trying to get rid of my writer’s block. I think it might work. I at least have a possible rescue for Overtures… one that has no link to the three I listed in the other chapter. The new fic, Grandpa’s Hat, is a Jeff-oriented reminiscing fic. I hope it’s well received.   I’m waiting until Saturday (I think)…
