Re: Moonstrike!

Re: Moonstrike!

I’ve been looking it over again and it’s okay. Wrote in a little bit to give a reason for protecting property that sounds feasible. I will, however, need to break up the chapters for posting–some of them are wicked long! Fortunately, that should be easy enough to do since I tend to write in scenes. And, of course, there’s finishing the damned thing!

Some years ago, I was told that fanfic readers wanted their stories to focus on the main characters. It’s something I took to heart. It’s the reason The White Winds has eight rescues in it, even though the story focuses on Alan and Fermat and their friends at school. It makes writing a Tracy sister fic like Moonstrike! difficult. Keeping the focus on the canon characters while still including my OC takes a delicate balance, especially since she is not on the island or participating in rescues. (Speaking of rescues, writing eight of them in one story tapped me out at the time. It’s been a factor in my long Thunderbirds writer’s block.)

In other news, buggeruptober will be starting soon. This is a month of prompts for the webcomic Widdershins. I didn’t participate last year but the few drabbles I did in 2021 are posted under the title Introspections. I think I’m going to give it a shot this year, too, though I may post it differently on AO3 than I did two years ago. Finally figured out how to make a collection, so might use that method. I’ll post them here (and at fanfic.net) under the umbrella title; announcements of the updates will be on the homepage.

Hubby and I will be celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary in a  couple of days. Can’t believe we’ve been married this long!
