Animal Control stopped by
The stray dog is gone. I bought a cheap chain collar, and a chain to keep him from running away, and he stayed tied up to one of our trees last night. Whined off and on during the night, but he was still here in the morning. The kids had christened him "Max", which was appropriate, I suppose. I called animal control this morning, and they came out this afternoon to pick the dog up. I wanted to make sure that the officer knew the dog was a stray and not ours. The mutt was pretty friendly, really, and looked to grow even bigger than he was. The kids thought he looked very much like one of the puppies my brother’s dog had last year. But no fence = no dog, so off he went.
Now we’ve got to work hard on getting a proper fence….
