Word count was 50017 to validate. I added another 100 or so words after midnight to get the “Update your word count for 30 days” badge. One more write-in tomorrow night. I think I may work on my fanfic for The Flash fandom, just for a change of pace. Then the Thank God It’s Over (TGIO) party on Saturday and NaNoWriMo 2016 will be in the can.

For me, anyway. I find the July session a lot less stressful than April’s; there’s not as much going on, though my husband works long hours as his co-workers take their vacations. With the HTML function down at fanfiction.net, I’ve had to find a different way to upload and edit my chapters. Up until now, I would load my HTML to An Archive of Our Own, edit it there, and then replace the original copy in my .txt file with the edits. This worked fine, until suddenly there was no more shortcut at fanfiction.net.
I usually keep a note book or a pad of paper by my bed, along with a pen or two. As many other authors probably do, I find I get the most interesting ideas just as I’m settling in to bed and the writing materials allow me to jot the ideas down before I lose them.
