Who am I blocking on this site?

Who am I blocking on this site?

Anyone who tries to log in as an administrator gets automatically blocked, which I then make permanent ASAP. Currently, this includes a crap ton of Italian IPs from static.albacom.net and fastwebnet.it hosting. US would-be hackers mostly come from biz.bhn.net. I block all traffic from China, and most coming from Russia and Eastern Europe. If you’re throttled, you’ll likely be permanently banned. Basically, if you make a nuisance of yourself, you’re banned. Whether or not the ban is permanent is decided…

Ugh. Behind, as usual.

Ugh. Behind, as usual.

Here I am, five days into Camp NaNoWriMo and I’ve written less than 300 words. Yup, that’s right. Less than 300. I just can’t write at home anymore. There’s too much housework and responsibility swirling around me, pressing down. Cats walking across my desk and making themselves at home on my mouse pad. Dogs whining for no apparent reason and children lying on the sofa with headphones on, ignoring the dogs. Not to mention that my desk chair’s hydraulics are…

Stretching disbelief

Stretching disbelief

Okay, y’all, explain this to me. Downton Abbey is an English period drama right? Set around 1920? Then why, oh why did someone cross it over with Thunderbirds, set over a century later? Why?? Who in blazes thought that would work?? SMH. Well, I skimmed it over. Seems like Scott is just smushed in there to “save” Mary — mostly by being a packhorse and helping her cover up the fact that some man died in her room. Jeff is shoehorned…

About Jeff Tracy

About Jeff Tracy

When will Thunderbirds fanfic writers get the memo? Jeff Tracy is not a coercive, moronic,  business and parental failure. In either universe. If he was, he would have neither the finances nor the trust of his sons, both of which he needed to start and maintain International Rescue. This short rant brought to you by a review on FF.net, the letters TB, and the number 5. That is all.

Weirdness in my writing worlds.

Weirdness in my writing worlds.

First, I’m supposed to be working on my 2007 NaNo novel during August’s Camp NaNoWriMo. Unfortunately, between my anniversary and various shopping trips, I really haven’t done much. I’ve also had the problem of things popping up from my planned 2011 NaNo novel, which doesn’t have a title yet. In an attempt to jumpstart finishing the 2007 story, Moonstrike!, I’ve started posting some bits I know are done at Fan Nation. I’m posting it there first because, frankly, the Thunderbirds…

Rewriting history

Rewriting history

Have you ever had someone in your life who wants to rewrite their history? Instead of being seen as acting selfish, or vain, or jealous, or generally unhinged, they want you to edit things you have said to make them look good? To remove those times when they were selfish, or vain, or jealous, or whatever else they might have done? I have. Since 2006, someone has been so obsessed with the way they look to others that they’ve wanted…

Thin skins, foul mouths, and big heads

Thin skins, foul mouths, and big heads

Consider this a rant.   For every polite, talented, eager to learn teenaged writer, there are at least three who have thin skins, foul mouths, and big heads. TracyLOVER is a fine example of this latter category. She finally got back to Hobbeth (I wondered what took her so long) after that worthy took her to task for her flaming me on The White Winds. From the account I got, the letter was foul mouthed, and told Hobbeth to shove off…
