Actually, I know I’m a day or more behind on NaNoWriMo, but I am writing every day, which is a good thing. I’m also working on a major craft project: a hand latch hooked rug for a family member. The pattern is derived from a rug I saw online, with changed-up colors. I’ve signed up for this year’s NaNoWriMo already. For the past few months, I’ve had this fantasy going on in my head about a djinn ending up with a woman whose ideas of what’s right and proper as far as wishes go are foreign to it. The title is The Moon Djinn and I’m excited to start writing it! Maybe this time I’ll be a planner or at least a plantser and can get the whole thing finished in November….
But after writing pretty much all day, I’m closer to catching up. At the end of the day, I’ve written 5K. Still need to write more and, frankly, a lot of what I’m writing now will be cut later. I’m wearing these “recovery gloves” (seriously, that’s what the manufacturer calls them) because my fingers and knuckles are screaming for relief.
