I’ve signed up for this year’s NaNoWriMo already. For the past few months, I’ve had this fantasy going on in my head about a djinn ending up with a woman whose ideas of what’s right and proper as far as wishes go are foreign to it. The title is The Moon Djinn and I’m excited to start writing it! Maybe this time I’ll be a planner or at least a plantser and can get the whole thing finished in November.
Also, there have been ticklings for some of my unfinished fanfic and my original Majere novels, particularly Rebels of the Hex. This as I’m doing other creative things, like finishing a loom-knitted afghan, making a storage roll for my new double-point (DPN) knitting needles, a pillow to match a quilt I finished last year, and lots of loom-knitted pumpkins. I’m even working on some jewelry! I guess creativity of one sort can spark it in another field.
Here are pictures of the afghan, the DPN roll, and some of the pumpkins!
