Warm at last!

Warm at last!

The thermostat on the heater hasn’t been working for the past couple of days, so I reset the stupid thing this evening and now it’s working! All day long it was in the low sixties (possibly lower) inside the house. I was so cold I made and drank two pots of coffee (4-cup coffee maker). That might have been the reason I had heartburn later in the afternoon.

We went to the Harvest Happening at church this evening. Hot dogs with chili on them, chips, slaw, hot cocoa, Krispy Kreme donuts and candy for the kids to eat, a bonfire and hay rides. Saw a lot of people I haven’t seen in months since I haven’t been going to church regularly. I ate three hot dogs, a helping of slaw, just ONE Krispy Kreme donut, tea instead of cocoa, and two bite-sized Almond Joy bars from the boys’ goodie bags. I’m still not looking forward to taking my blood glucose before bed.

I am shocked, gratified, wowed, and shaking my head in disbelief. I have over 10,000 hits on The White Winds! It’s so strange to see the five digits there. Chapter 16 is in the can and waiting on beta (Hobbeth is away for the weekend). I still need to find a good title for the chapter, too. Better work on that this evening. Chapter 11 of Overtures is well on its way since I cut off half of 10 to make it more manageable. It means that the Jeff/Lou fluff will probably be put off until Chapter 12, but that’s what happens sometimes.

Saturday… housework, writing, and generally goofing off as much as I can. The Hubby has Halloween off and will be helping to put the storm windows to rights.

Life is wild sometimes, or at least it feels that way.
