Time for coffee

Time for coffee

and a break from writing fiction. Masquerade 19 is coming along nicely. What I should do is write up some of the scenes I got in my head last night, the ones that kept me awake until five (this despite my antidepressant and Lortabs).  I am very much afraid that this particular story is going to go longer than my usual 23 chapters. Much longer.

The toe isn’t giving me the jips right now, for which I’m grateful. The kids have been helpful; the Girl is cleaning off the stove and the counters in the kitchen, and the boys have helped keep me from getting up too much. The day looks like we might get some rain again, though. I did remind the kids that their dad wants them to clear stuff out of the carport so we can actually put our van back there again. I don’t think they’ve done that, though.

C’s picture, the one scene she did  from Masquerade, came in the mail and was brought in today. I’ve already posted it at my Photobucket account and at IR:TNP. She says that I’m to get the picture of Jeff that she’ll be doing for the “swimsuit” calendar! Wooooo Hoooo! But first, she’s got to find a pose to inspire her. I wish I could help her on that!

Just got a thank you card from my oldest niece for the gift we sent her. I can’t believe she’s graduated from college! It seems like just yesterday that she was 4 years old, running around at our wedding rehearsal dinner in her underwear! (A favorite memory of hers, I’m sure! Mwahahaha!)  At least now I have an address so we can try to stay in touch.
